Zoo Negara officially opened in November 1963 and is a nice place that’s loved by Malaysian citizens and tourists alike. Stretching over 110 acres, the attraction gives you a unique chance to see more than 5137 specimen from 476 species of mammals, birds, reptiles, amphibians and fish. Grab a ticket that includes admission to both the park and their famous Giant Panda Conservation Centre where you can visit Malaysia’s famous giant pandas, Xing Xing and Liang Liang!

Your admission ticket also includes access to a variety of performances, shows and feeding sessions at the park including the animal show featuring trained sea lions, macaques, macaws and more for you to discover. Pop by the different exhibits in the zoo to get up-close and personal to all sorts of animals!

How to get there

• By bus: Rapid KL bus 253 from Putra LRT Station, rapid KL number 220 from Lebuh Ampang KL and alight at the Wangsamaju stop. From there, take a taxi to the zoo about 9 minutes away
• By metro: Take the Kelana Jaya line and alight at Wangsa Maju Station. From there, take a taxi to the zoo about 6 minutes away
