08:00-12:00 Along the [Northern Section of Duku Highway], you can experience the charm of this highway scenery, which is a monument in the history of Chinese highways and is called the "Hero Road"; along the way, there are beautiful grasslands, towering snow-capped mountains, and a 100-meter snow-proof corridor. There are endless beautiful scenery and endless beautiful photos: resting in [Qiaoerma Martyrs Cemetery]. The Duku Highway stretches across mountains and valleys, connecting many ethnic minority settlements. Along the way, you can visit the Gobi oasis, alpine tunnels, modern glaciers, beautiful forests, grasslands, alpine lakes and the Swan Nature Reserve. We can stop and play at safe stops along the way;

12:00-13:00 Arrive at the Qiaoerma Service Area for lunch at noon. The Martyrs Cemetery here houses the spirits of 168 soldiers who died for the construction of the Duku Highway. There is also a story about Chen Jungui, a "moving figure in China", guarding the tombs of his comrades for more than 30 years. You can choose to pay tribute according to your feelings;

13:00-16:00 After that, continue along the high mountain and deep valley road, and pass through the Dushanzi District of Karamay City after exiting the mountain road;

16:00-21:00 Return to the highway, return to Urumqi on a flat road, and then disband, ending a pleasant trip to northern Xinjiang.

 

Tips:

1. The scenery of Duku Highway is charming. The driver can arrange for everyone to get off the car and take pictures in the parking lot, but please pay attention to the vehicles parked in and out; the traffic is heavy during the tourist peak season. If there is a traffic jam, please be patient and wait for it to clear;

2. Today's driving time is long, please prepare snacks and drinking water in advance; because the winding mountain road is long, group members who are prone to motion sickness should take motion sickness medicine in advance;

 

[Special situation description of Duku Highway]

Dukku Highway is affected by seasonal weather and is only open from June to September each year. When it is not open, do not take Duku Highway, and return to Urumqi from Yining; even if there is rain, snow or landslide during the traffic period, the road will be temporarily closed. During the closed control period, you can only return by a detour: the increased fares, fuel costs, and driver service fees are borne by the travel agency, and no more fees will be charged to tourists, and no fees will be refunded. Tourists need to bear the increased accommodation and food expenses, train tickets or air tickets due to force majeure such as road closures.

 

【Two solutions for you to choose】

1. Return from Nalati to Yining City, and then return to Urumqi; it is possible that you cannot return to Urumqi on the same day, and you need to stay in a town along the way for one night. The cost of food and accommodation on the same day needs to be paid by the tourists;

2. If tourists do not want to return by car, they can buy a flight ticket from Nalati to Urumqi or a train ticket from Yining to Urumqi at their own expense; tourists are requested to calculate the time from Nalati Hotel to Nalati Airport or Yining Railway Station before booking tickets to prevent delays;
