Discover the picture-worthy coastal cities of the Mediterranean, beginning with the archeological museum of Heraklion. An overnight in Valletta steals time to unlock its Baroque wonders, such as St John’s Cathedral. Then, journey to Tunis to view the ruins of ancient Carthage, followed by the surprise of vibrant hues adorning the facades of Cagliari. Relish a sensorial feast in Naples, Civitavecchia, and Tuscany before stopping in Genoa, Marseille, and Valencia.
Athens (Piraeus), Greece
A city of legend, civilisation and enduring culture, Athens is a majestic and magical urban sprawl. Extraordinary elegance and grace combine with grit and graft in Greece's capital, where highways encase ruins from antiquity, and gleaming museums and galleries stand beside concrete sprayed with edgy street art. These contrasts enhance and elevate the wonders of this 2,500-year-old city, however, which can count notable contributions to philosophy, drama and democracy, among its global legacy. Piraeus' giant port and naval base welcome you to the edge of the Athens' urban area. From there it's a simple jaunt to the centre. The majestic ancient citadel of the Acropolis dominates an elevated platform and is a constant presence as you explore the city. The wonderful remains of the columned temple of the Parthenon - which date back to the 5th century BC - stand here, representing the pinnacle of classical architecture. The nearby Acropolis Museum adds context to your visit and frames the broad views from its giant glass windows. Or rise up Mount Lycabettus, to be rewarded with perhaps Athens' best panorama of the Acropolis sitting high over the city on its grand stage. See the marble horseshoe of the Old Olympic Stadium, where the first modern Olympics were held in 1896, for more of the city's enduring legacy. Elsewhere, golden beaches and temples stretch out along the coastline, should you wish to explore a little further afield. Coffee is an art form to the Greeks, and it's an unwritten rule that coffee time must never be rushed. So prepare to settle down for a couple of hours and lose yourself in a good chat. Feeling hungry - try traditional souvlaki made with sauces handed from generation to generation.
Heraklion, Greece
It may not be the prettiest place in Crete, but Heraklion's patchwork of history, bustling activity and cultural intrigue makes it the perfect change of pace. This is certainly no sleepy island fishing village, and Greece's fifth-largest city is adorned with a rich collection of quality museums, ancient ruins from antiquity, and a lively culture of its own. A refreshing shift-up from the many quaint beach towns and fishing villages you'll encounter in the Greek islands, Heraklion – also known as Iraklio - has great shopping, extraordinary history and is the ideal base for ventures to the archaeological treasures of Crete. Traded by the Arabic, Venetian and Ottoman empires over the years, Heraklion is a multi-layered place with fascinating tales to tell. The city's impressive Venetian fortress, which waits over the gently rolling waves of the gleaming Mediterranean, welcomes you ashore. A stroll out along the seawall, alongside creaking fishing boats, will take you out to the squat fortifications that have stood since 1540. Climb to the top for views out across the water, back towards the city's waterfront. The sun-roasted earth outside the city hides treasures from the realms of history, including the Bronze Age remnants of Europe's oldest city, Knossos. A visit to the fantastic Archaeological Museum of Heraklion ties all of this history together and exhibits relics from the civilisations and eras of Crete's past. Elsewhere, Daidalou's pedestrianised paving is a charming stroll through Heraklion's shops, with streets branching off to café-lined plazas and twinkling fountains. Stop to try local food - like fresh feta and olive sprinkled dakos mezze – all washed down with a sample of local raki brandy.
Valletta, Malta
Perched high on the imposing Sciberras Peninsula, Valletta immediately presents its massive, protective walls and vertical bastions to visitors arriving by sea. Rising to 47 metres in places, the fortifications protect lavish palaces, grand domes and illustrious gardens. Built by the Knights of St John on the narrow peninsular, Valletta is a compact, richly historical treasure trove of Baroque wonders. Ascend to reach the restful, flower-filled Upper Barrakka Gardens, where cannons fire and boom in salute at noon each day, sending echoing cracks of noise out across the waves below. Recognised as 2018’s European Capital of Culture, Valletta is a fascinating and dense haven of history and intrigue. A busy, bustling capital, the breathtaking St John’s Cathedral - commissioned in 1572 - is almost concealed among its narrow streets. The relatively modest exterior is counterpointed by a staggeringly opulent, gold-leaf bathed interior, containing a Caravaggio masterpiece - the shadowy vision of the Beheading of St John. Cinematic and magnificent, Valletta has served as a filming location for Game of Thrones - but real epic history abounds on this rocky isle too. From the prehistoric and megalithic sites of the Hypogeum of Paola and Tarxien, to the fascinating War Museum at Fort St Elmo. Mdina also waits nearby, and the former medieval capital is a striking contrast to the island’s main city. Cars are barred from its streets, and it offers endlessly atmospheric old-time wanders. With a strategic positioning in the Mediterranean, Malta is a jewel that many have wrestled for over the centuries. Independence from Britain was finally achieved in 1964, but the close allegiance remains evident, with English recognised as an official language, cars driving on the left, and red post boxes and telephone gleaming in Malta’s sunshine.
Tunis (La Goulette), Tunisia
Tunisia's capital lies at the western end of the shallow Lake Tunis, which opens to the sea at La Goulette. This is the first of a string of beach suburbs that stretches away to the north; it is here that the city's port is located. This coastal area includes the ruins of ancient Carthage and the picturesque suburb of Sidi Bou Said, places that attract more visitors than Tunis itself. As far as capital cities go, Tunis has an easy-going, unhurried air about it. It is a very liberal city by Islamic standards and certainly leading the way in Western trends for the rest of the country. In Tunisia, the struggle for independence didn't take the violent course that it did in Algeria. Ruler Ahmed Bey, who governed from 1837 to 1855, encouraged Westernization and brought in military and other advisors to this end. In 1861, during the reign of Mohammed Sadiq, a constitution - the first in the Arab world - was proclaimed. Until the time of the French protectorate, the medina was very much the center of things. Then, under the French influence, the ville nouvelle (new city) emerged with its major banks, department stores, and administrative services. The main focus of ville nouvelle is the wide, tree-lined Avenue Habib Bourguiba. At its western end, this major thoroughfare becomes the Avenue de France, terminating in the Place de la Victoire and the entrance to the medina.
Cagliari (Sardinia), Italy
The serene sea approach to Cagliari is an exquisitely beautiful way to first lay eyes on the city’s mesmerising interplay of colour, spires and domed churches. Sat on Sardinia’s south coast, Cagliari is the island’s largest city, and a sun-blessed escape of beaches, architecture and Mediterranean food – where stress evaporates on contact. That first sight of Cagliari’s mosaic of architecture reveals much about the island’s history, and is a living document of the civilisations and influences that have passed through. Combining Byzantine churches with crumbling Roman ruins and Pisan towers, it’s an elegant, beguiling place to explore. Usher in the morning with a short, sharp espresso hit, before wandering along to San Benedetto market’s bustle, crammed full of overflowing heaps of local produce. Taste crisp, freshly-baked bread, thin shavings of sheep’s cheese, and ripe red strawberries, as you wander amid the market’s melody of good-natured bartering. The Castello quarter’s tight, flower-draped streets and salmon-hued brick buildings incline up above the Med’s softly lapping waves. Climb Bastione di Saint Remy staircase to Terrazza Umberto’s views of the turquoise Gulf of Angels. Next, Cathedral of Santa Maria awaits, with its marbled interiors, elaborate side chapels and intricately decorated crypt. Once you’ve unravelled Cagliari’s historical tapestry, Poetto Beach invites you to find a spot on almost five miles of uninterrupted sand, met by a dazzling expanse of turquoise water. On a hot summer’s day, soak up some sun before saluting the sunset with an ice cold Spritz at a beachside bar. Spaghetti with salted bottarga and artichokes will keep the good times rolling, perfectly accompanied by a glass of ruby-coloured Cannonau wine.
Naples, Italy
Raw, unvarnished and refreshingly authentic, Naples is Italy’s third-largest city and a place like nowhere else. They say ‘see Naples and die,’ and you’ll soon discover the unique energy and exuberance of this sprawling city, which balances urban grit and timeless wonder like no other. Set on the breathtaking Bay of Naples, with the looming cone of Mount Vesuvius puncturing the blue sky close by, it can take a little time for Naples to work its way under your skin - but once you attune to its rhythms, you’ll be hopelessly under its spell. Naples’ densely packed, towering streets lend a claustrophobic, canyon-like feel to the UNESCO World Heritage Site city centre. Here, overflowing market stalls sell handcrafted goods along tight alleyways, and hidden courtyards serve up glasses of glowing Aperol Spritz. The smell of freshly-baked focaccias and drying washing hang over the thoroughly lived-in streets, while stunning baroque churches rise out of nowhere. Wherever you wander, this is a city sprinkled with immense cultural treasures and artistry - from palaces to fortresses and ruins from antiquity. Unpretentious food, made from simple, flavourful ingredients is a feature of Naples' revered cuisine, and the birthplace of pizza is the perfect city to taste fire-baked, shockingly under-priced, margherita. Wash it down with a bottle of wine perfected by the fertile slopes of Vesuvius. A sharp espresso is always welcome to punctuate your time exploring. Mount Vesuvius’s destructive impulses destroyed and conserved the ancient city of Pompeii in the blink of an eye, and the town is one of the best-preserved Roman ruins in the world. Naples' National Archaeological Museum displays many magnificent finds should you wish to stay in the city. The Amalfi coast’s immeasurable beauty also stretches out close by, while Capri’s glorious island glamorously luxuriates just offshore.
Civitavecchia (Rome), Italy
All roads lead to Rome, and with good reason - this city is one of the world’s most thrilling, offering unmatched history along every street. An evocative, inspiring and utterly artistic capital of unrivalled cultural impact, Rome is a city of back-to-back landmarks, which will take you on an exhilarating journey through the ages. This may be one of the world’s oldest cities, but it’s well and truly lived in. The ruins are punctuated with murmuring cafes, and the outdoor seating of restaurants sprawls out across piazzas, enticing you to sample tangles of creamy pasta and crispy pizzas. Rome’s incredible Roman Forum is littered with the ruins of its ancient administrations, which have stood firm for 2,000 years, since the times when the area was the centre of the Western world. Few sites are more simultaneously beautiful and haunting than that of the storied Colosseum, which looms deep into Rome’s rich blue sky. Take a tour to learn details of the grisly goings-on within. The best way to experience Rome is to wander its streets, gelato in hand. There is a lot to see here - whether it’s the domed spectacle of the Pantheon, or the elaborate flowing waters and artistry of the Trevi Fountain. Vatican City is an astonishing, colossal display of Catholic grandeur, while the Spanish Steps – crowned by the Trinità dei Monti church – offer a beautiful spot to gather and soak up the lively atmosphere of this humming city. With so much on the to-do list, you’ll relish the breaks you take, enjoying simple pleasures like a strong espresso, or fresh pasta with tomato sauce and ripped basil.
Livorno (Tuscany), Italy
There are few more elegant places to salute the sunset than Terrazza Mascagni, Livorno’s refined chessboard piazza. A historic port, and a beachy gateway to Tuscany, Livorno welcomes you ashore to explore this enchanted Italian region's sun-soaked beauty, rich flavours and world-renowned fine art. Stay in Livorno to explore 'Piccolo Venezia', or ‘Little Venice’ - a quarter of the town that's laced with canals, little marble bridges and plenty of tempting eateries. With its bustling market, fortresses and iconic waterfront, there’s plenty to keep you busy here, but most will be tempted to venture inland to explore more of Tuscany’s many charms and artistic wonders. Test your nose, as you breathe in the subtleties of Tuscany’s vineyard-draped scenery, and visit wineries showcasing the best of the renowned flavours of the Bolgheri wine-growing area. Or head out to Prato, where you’ll find tightly-woven textile history. Pisa’s showpiece tower is within reach, as is Florence’s city of immense and imaginative renaissance beauty. Admire the delicate carving of Michelangelo's masterpiece, the David statue, and note the provocative stance as he casts a dismissive glance towards Rome. Stand before the city’s majestic black and white cathedral - the Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore - with its colossal brick dome. The view down over Florence's river and grand dome from Piazzale Michelangelo, meanwhile, is one of Italy's finest. However you choose to spend your time in Tuscany, you’ll discover an artistic region, filled with beauty designed to appeal to every sense.
Genoa, Italy
Most famous for being the birthplace of Christopher Columbus, Genoa is one of Italy’s true unsung heroes. Stretched out along the Mediterranean coast just over 100 miles from France, the city is the capital of Liguria, or the Italian Riviera, and has the history to prove it. Once the main trading centre for Italy, Genoa has a fine legacy of wealth behind it. The area once had complete control over the Tyrrhenian Sea, and its vast reach stretched as far as Nice to the west, Sardinia in the south and into the Piedmont mountains in the north. Exports were many, but perhaps the most lucrative of these was the rough denim cloth that sailors would wear, today more popularly known under the moniker blue jean. This affluence has left its mark on the city, think ornate gates, large, leafy palazzos, lavishly decorate churches and a Centro Storico – or Old Town – that speaks volumes. Grab your best hiking boots and wander the narrow alleys and steep hills and imbibe in the inherent Italianism of the city. No could talk about Genoa’s history without mentioning its food. Home of both Pesto and Focaccia, Genoa is considered by many to be one of the cornerstones of Italian gastronomy. The city’s cuisine is very much a product of its terrain: The Mediterranean yields freshly caught fish and seafood found on almost every menu, while the mountains supply the meat, cheese and above all herbs that flavour the dishes. It may not be fancy, but if you like good, simple Italian food, you have come to the right place.
Marseille , France
France’s sunniest and oldest city may not have the glamour of some of its Cote D’Azur neighbours, but what it lacks in glitz, it certainly makes up for in authenticity and cultural depth. France's second-biggest city, Marseille served as European Capital of Culture in 2013 and is a fantastic hub of museums, creativity and colour. The Le Panier district is a vivid illustration of this - with its faded streets revitalised by overflowing flowerpots and pretty naturally-distressed doorways. Look down to the yacht-crammed port - where fishermen still unload fresh catches - from the viewpoint at the spectacular Notre-Dame de la Garde - a true crowning glory. Standing over walled fortifications - and capped by an elegant dome - the soaring golden statue of Madonna and Child rises high into the air and is visible all over the city. The huge Marseille Cathedral is equally impressive, with its stunning zebra-striped exterior. Palais Longchamp, built-in 1862, twinkles with flowing water, and its saturated gardens and splashing fountains were built to celebrate the engineering feat of successfully redirecting water to the city. You can’t leave Marseille without tucking into its famous fish stew – bouillabaisse. Flavoured with thyme, garlic and hunks of Mediterranean fish and plump prawns, it’s a bold and delicious taste of Provence. Wash your hands clean after, with some of Marseille’s traditional soap, created using a fragrant recipe of rich olive oil. Escape the hubbub of the city, to soak in the natural glory of Calanques National Park. Hike, kayak and sail your way through a treasure trove of limestone cliffs, dropping off to hidden beaches.
Valencia, Spain
Valencia is a proud city. During the Civil War, it was the last seat of the Republican Loyalist government (1935–36), holding out against Franco’s National forces until the country fell to 40 years of dictatorship. Today it represents the essence of contemporary Spain—daring design and architecture along with experimental cuisine—but remains deeply conservative and proud of its traditions. Though it faces the Mediterranean, Valencia's history and geography have been defined most significantly by the River Turia and the fertile floodplain (huerta) that surrounds it. The city has been fiercely contested ever since it was founded by the Greeks. El Cid captured Valencia from the Moors in 1094 and won his strangest victory here in 1099: he died in the battle, but his corpse was strapped into his saddle and so frightened the besieging Moors that it caused their complete defeat. In 1102 his widow, Jimena, was forced to return the city to Moorish rule; Jaume I finally drove them out in 1238. Modern Valencia was best known for its frequent disastrous floods until the River Turia was diverted to the south in the late 1950s. Since then the city has been on a steady course of urban beautification. The lovely bridges that once spanned the Turia look equally graceful spanning a wandering municipal park, and the spectacularly futuristic Ciutat de les Arts i les Ciències (City of Arts and Sciences), most of it designed by Valencia-born architect Santiago Calatrava, has at last created an exciting architectural link between this river town and the Mediterranean. If you're in Valencia, an excursion to Albufera Nature Park is a worthwhile day trip.
Barcelona, Spain
The infinite variety of street life, the nooks and crannies of the medieval Barri Gòtic, the ceramic tile and stained glass of Art Nouveau facades, the art and music, the throb of street life, the food (ah, the food!)—one way or another, Barcelona will find a way to get your full attention. The capital of Catalonia is a banquet for the senses, with its beguiling mix of ancient and modern architecture, tempting cafés and markets, and sun-drenched Mediterranean beaches. A stroll along La Rambla and through waterfront Barceloneta, as well as a tour of Gaudí's majestic Sagrada Família and his other unique creations, are part of a visit to Spain's second-largest city. Modern art museums and chic shops call for attention, too. Barcelona's vibe stays lively well into the night, when you can linger over regional wine and cuisine at buzzing tapas bars.

Safety Precautions And Procedures
It is mandatory that all guests participate in a safety drill, which is normally scheduled to take place prior to departure from the port of embarkation. Please note that emergency information is posted in your suite.

Silversea kindly requests that all guests observe the non-smoking areas.
Visitors On Board
Please have your travel professional contact Silversea Special Services if you would like to make arrangements for visitors board the vessel at the port of embarkation.
Requests should be made in writing no later than 14 days prior to departure. For security reasons, visitors on embarkation day must be pre-registered with Silversea. For visitors during the voyage other than embarkation day, arrangements may be made on board.
Silversea may limit the number of visitors permitted on board.
Clothing Aboard The Ship
Silversea operates an on board dress code after 6 pm. While during the day casual wear is appropriate and consists of standard sports outfits as worn at five-star resorts. Shoes should be flat or low-heeled for deck activities. Eveningwear falls into three categories: casual, informal and formal. On casual evenings, pants, blouses or casual dresses for women; open-neck shirts and slacks for men are appropriate. On informal evenings, women wear dresses or pantsuits; men wear jackets (tie optional). Appropriate formal wear for women is an evening gown or cocktail dress; men wear tuxedos, dinner jackets or dark suits. A tie is required.
On formal nights, guests may dine in La Terrazza and choose to dress informally. The same applies to Kaiseki and Silver Note aboard Silver Muse. Dining at The Grill is optionally casual all nights, as per for Spaccanapoli on Silver Muse. Following dinner, guests may take advantage of public spaces, however, jacket is required.
On 7-day sailings or less, the formal night is per guest discretion, meaning that while the ship will operate one formal night, appropriate formal eveningwear is optional. A guideline for reference is below.
Since there is so much to see and do while exploring the sights, you will find that the most essential packing essential is a pair of comfortable, sturdy shoes. This is particularly important for shoreside explorations where often the ground is uneven and where extensive walking or climbing may be required.
Casual attire is appropriate at all times when ashore. Clothing that can be layered to accommodate different temperatures is most versatile and comfortable. Appropriate dress should be worn on shore excursions whilst visiting a mosque, cathedral or monastery. Guests wearing shorts or skirts above the knee or women with bare shoulders may not be permitted to enter. In some cases, women may also be required to cover their heads. Please check with the Shore Concierge Desk aboard the ship for dress requirements before departing on tour.
Luggage Allowance
Luggage allowance guidelines/fees vary by airline, airport and/or class of service. Airlines are strictly enforcing these policies and you may be required to pay additional charges at check-in should the weight and size of your luggage be outside the airline’s set policy and/or the number of pieces exceed the free luggage allowance. Many airlines limit each piece of luggage to 23kg (50lbs) or less. Since the airlines change their policies frequently, we strongly recommend that you or your travel/agent professional contact the air carrier(s) directly for the most up-to-date baggage allowance policies and weight/size restrictions. These policies are updated regularly on most airline websites. Please note that each guest is fully responsible for any luggage fees imposed by the airlines upon check-in. Silversea is not liable for any costs associated with checked or carry-on luggage, or any items confiscated at the security checkpoint.
Silver Shore Transfers, Land Adventures and charter flights may have additional baggage limitations. Your final travel documents include the details of the luggage limitations, if applicable.
All luggage must be securely packed and tagged with the pre-printed luggage tags supplied as part of your documentation package. In accordance with airport security restrictions for carry-on baggage, we recommend that you hand carry travel documents (passports, visas, inoculation verification, cruise and air tickets), medications and valuables. Liquid, fragile, perishable and other articles not suitably packed are transported at your own risk.
While every effort is made to deliver luggage to your suite upon embarkation, delivery may be delayed due to strict Customs formalities, which are beyond the ship's control.
Other Items To Pack
The Boutique onboard is stocked with some toiletries as well as few other essential items. However, we do suggest that you pack a supply of essential items, since toiletries are often very expensive overseas and sometimes unavailable. Silversea does not limit the amount of money you may carry during your voyage. For safety reasons, Silversea recommends that guests take precautions and not carry excessive amounts of cash. Many purchases can be conveniently made using credit cards or traveller’s cheques (USD only) and do not require cash transactions. Silversea is not responsible for any loss of money.
If you bring more than US $10,000 into or out of the United States (e.g. in the form of U.S. or foreign currency/coinage, traveller’s cheques in any form, money orders, etc.), you must report it to the U.S. Customs Service. For additional information and forms, see the U.S. Customs’ website at www. Cbp.gov and click on “Travel”. If you are not a U.S. citizen, please contact your local customs office.
Currency Exchange
It is a good idea to change some cash into local currency at a bank before leaving home. Most international airports also exchange funds, though they often charge higher exchange fees. In certain ports of call, there will be a local bank representative on board to exchange funds into the currency of the host country
Making Purchases Abroad
If you plan to make any significant purchases abroad, we recommend that you use your charge card ashore wherever it is accepted. This will often ensure receiving a better exchange rate than what is offered locally.
Shipboard Account
During check-in, guests will be asked to register their VISA®, Master Card® or American Express® credit card, which must be valid through the final day of their voyage. All charges for services provided and products purchased onboard must be settled in cash in U.S. dollars, by traveller’s cheques in U.S. dollars, or above listed credit card at the end of each voyage segment and before final disembarkation from the ship. Although all shipboard charges are in U.S. dollars, Silversea processes shipboard credit card transactions through the United Kingdom. Please be aware that some credit card companies charge a foreign transaction fee. Silversea encourages guests to contact their credit card issuer in advance of their cruise to enquire about possible foreign transaction fees

Telecommunications via satellite is a significantly different experience compared to high-speed connections on shore. The signal travels in a similar manner to radio waves but at much greater distances. That is why onboard Internet access is inconsistent and cannot be guaranteed at all times.
Satellite communications are also affected by weather and the ship’s location.

Inoculations
Generally, inoculations are not required in most areas where Silversea travels. However, any requirements that may apply are subject to change and we recommend that you verify current guidelines with your travel professional/ agent prior to departure. Please note that when travelling to countries that do require vaccinations, written verification will be necessary. Before taking any trip overseas, it is wise to check with your doctor, notably if you are under a doctor’s care.
Pregnancy
Silversea Cruises Ltd. policy regarding pregnancy is derived from the Cruise Lines International Association endorsement of the American College of Emergency Physicians Health Care Guidelines for Cruise Ship Medical Facilities, which can be found at http://www.acep.org/Content.aspx?id=29980.
This includes the guideline that 'pregnant women who have entered the 24th week of pregnancy at any time during the cruise should not be eligible to sail on the ship'. It is Silversea Cruises Ltd. policy that any Guest who will have entered her 24th week of pregnancy or above, at any time during the cruise, will be prohibited from sailing. The guest and treating doctor should consider before any sailing that there is no Obstetrician/ Gynecologist available on the ship and those pregnancies, when unstable and poorly controlled, are potentially life-threatening, especially without backup.
Please note that during our sailings, pregnant guests may be at sea for several days without any immediate hospital and/or specialised back up. We require that pregnant guests also note that if the proposed itinerary is not within the U.S., the availability of specialised shoreside facilities can be problematic. All guests are required to sign a health questionnaire at check-in to ensure that they are aware of our pregnancy policy. If you have already booked a cruise or cruise tour and do not meet this requirement, please contact your Travel Agent or airline.
Prescription Medication
For your convenience and well-being, you must bring a sufficient supply of any prescription medicine you may need. Prescriptions cannot be refilled on board, and usually cannot be refilled overseas. To prevent delays in clearing Customs, it is also a good idea to travel with a doctor's letter explaining that your prescription medication is required for your continued health. It is also recommended that the medicine remains in its original container with the original pharmacy label intact.
Special Medical Conditions
At Silversea, your health and safety are our priority If you have any existing medical conditions that may require our attention, or should you need oxygen for medical reasons while onboard, we ask that you please send written notification before your voyage to Silversea Special Services, 333 SE 2nd Avenue, Suite 2600, Miami, FL 33131 or by fax to 954-759-5049.

Guests wishing to bring their portable oxygen tanks must obtain prior written authorisation from Silversea, as restrictions may apply. Guests who rely upon wheelchairs must bring their collapsible wheelchair.
Please note that not all shore excursions are suitable for guests with impaired mobility.
Embarkation times are included in your final cruise documents. Cruise ships departing from U.S. ports will be required by the U.S. Customs and Border protection to provide the full passenger and crew manifest to the U.S. Government 60-minutes before departure. All guests must be on board at least 90-minutes prior to the ship’s departure to meet this government requirement. Guests arriving after the manifest has been submitted to the U.S. Customs and Border Protection will be denied boarding. For non-U.S. ports, guests are required to be on board at least two hours before the ship’s scheduled departure time. Communication via satellite is a significantly different experience compared to high-speed connections onshore.
The signal travels in a similarly manner to radio waves but at much greater distances. That is why onboard Internet access can be inconsistent and cannot be guaranteed at all times. Satellite communications can be affected by weather and the ship’s location. As such, there may be temporary outages of any satellite- provided service, including Internet, mobile phones, in- suite phones, television broadcast channels and world news summaries.
Considering these limitations, Internet access is best used for email communication and web browsing. Certain websites and services may be restricted due to limited bandwidth. Certain online activities require high- bandwidth and will be more frustrating than enjoyable.
Your suite is equipped with a personal safe, located inside your walk-in wardrobe. Please take great care with your money, jewellery, cameras, binoculars, documents and any other articles that you retain in your personal control or keep in your suite, as Silversea is not responsible for damage to, or loss of, these items.
